Max, Dex, and Darcy do face their own sets of trials together, but there is so much beauty from when Max and Darcy first come together at Gen and Anton's wedding, to when Darcy and Dex first meet, it is easy to fall headfirst for this lovely throuple! "He’s a droplet of water trembling on a wind-teased leaf, so contained, so impossibly pure and undefiled, yet so fragile. So vulnerable" Max can see where it would be so easy to dirty up Dex, and force the situation in so many ways, but he also wants Dex to make the first move.
