🔎✨️Perfect Romance & Suspense!!✨️🔎

      LJ Evans After All The Wreckage is fascinating! I loved all the different types of tropes throughout this book, from high school romance age gap, to second chance romance to paranormal romance and political science suspense.

Rory fell in love with Gage in high school when there were far to many years between them, but even then Gage noticed her. Gage wondered then what Rory would be like as an adult, when their ages would no longer matter. Gage still had too many issues to really pay attention to Rory back then, with his Mother (Demi) causing problems for the family and all those around them back then.

I was dragged into this book, so much interest, when Rory asked her father for help and then Gage needed her help with Monte, but didn't want to be up front about Monte's powers. Everyone's hiding something - from Rory, to her father, Dunn, Demi, Gage, and even the little sister. None of this stopped Rory and Gage getting closer on a more personal, romantic level.

The suspense, paranormal,  the cops hiding things, and trying to figure out who is hacking above Rory's level of intelligence kept me flying through each page. I did feel like it slowed down a little too much once the questions were answered, I was craving a little more angst and I just didn't find it. Maybe if there had been a little more high speed tension with Gage's Mom there toward the end, but either way I absolutely adored After All The Wreckage, and I loved the ending!!

LJ Evans always gives us exactly what we need in each book, and exactly what we're looking for, a perfect amount of spice, romance, and suspense to keep me absorbed through page after page, and she does an excellent job introducing the main character for the next book!
