Abel has been in love with Jen forever so when her father tells him he's sick and all he wants is to see his family happy, what's left for him to do except promise the old man? He'll stop screwing around and make sure everyone's happy.

Jen is stuck in a series of guys that are straight up hook-ups, you know the one - they call at 9 or worse midnight, just to see where you are, and when you're  at home it gives them the in they're looking for. But they're never looking for more, and as her friend Molly says, she's made herself into the 'perfect Maxim girl', always available, always down for anything - never really telling them what SHE wants.

So when Abel offers the perfect solution Jen thinks she can surely walk in and out of this one too without getting hurt, she'll just lock her heart up tight. She just doesn't realize Abel's held her heart forever, and really he's the only one she wants to have it!

I loved the dialog between Jen and Abel, they've been friends for so long they know almost everything about each other, but there are still things they're hiding from each other. I hurt for them, and the pain they're feeling for each other. If they can work it out, there's a lifetime of happiness ahead of them, but they have to convince the rest of Jen's family and each other.

Jessica Peterson's writing is riveting and so steamy, it made me blush!! This story is perfection, Abel is one of my FAVORITE MMC this year, and Jen just snuck up on me with her heart, and her ability to finally take up her whole space! If you love Sweet AND Super Spicy 🌶****, then Ms. Peterson's I Wish We Had Forever will find it's way into your heart immediately! ❤️‍🔥
