✨️Suspenseful and FABULOUS!!✨️

     Mangled Memory is STUNNING!! Hadley Finn has done a FABULOUS job with this mystery/romance! I suppose you could call it a Romantic Suspense, but I was so tense throughout the whole book I felt as though the Romantic aspect was on the back burner.

Ayla wakes up in the hospital and cannot remember the last two years of her life, including her husband Christian Barone. Her brothers are the loves of her life, and they are there for her just as they were before - and I think it was Liam who told her not to worry that Christian was quote "puke, the love of her life and he would never do anything to hurt her." But Ayla has this feeling of dread, as though something really bad is getting ready to happen every time she's alone with him. 

It doesn't help that her father storms into her hospital room and demands to speak to her by herself, and tells her to keep an eye on Christian, that he definitely does NOT have her best interests at heart - and he will hurt her! Meanwhile her siblings, and her mother are looking at her father like he's lost his mind. 

I was so fascinated by the entire story line, how creepy Hadley could make it only to have Christian apologize. It's as though he could not see the things he was doing that even though he was trying to keep Ayla safe were definitely creeping her the heck out! I could NOT believe how he and Ren were connected, and that that didn't make him lose his mind! 

There is a LOT of spice in here, some of which I felt was unasked for (almost some noncon), but I don't know that that was the intention so I'm trying to leave it alone, but the two times that Christian approached Ayla without consent, and was basically like "I'm your husband, I expect it" even if it's just dream you're having, really almost squicked me out about him. I do realize there are a lot of men on this planet that feel this way, but we've got to get them to where they understand that's not their right. This did not keep me from enjoying the book, and I felt like Christian's redemption arc fixed a lot of this.

I'm really hoping there are more books in this series, even though this ended with a completed book and no cliffhangers, I feel like Hadley's writing really shines with Romantic Suspense like this, and she could keep me on my toes while she tells the brothers stories! Thank you so much for such a fascinating tale of Romantic Suspense, definitely five 🌟's!!
