🌊Crashing Waves: A Hard Fought Male POV with a Emotional, Unforgettable Journey!!🌊

Y'all, I don't know what to say. There is so much anger, and sadness in this book but it still kept me moving forward. I finished this book in less than eight hours, I could NOT put it down!! I think I'd like his father to fall off the planet so badly I can't breathe right, and I know that's not right but when a monster of an antagonist so closely matches what you grew up with, it makes some books immensely hard to go through.

There were parts where I had hope for the protagonist, Max, none of those parts included someone who said he was just passing through though. A pretty redhead whose name we don't even know until the next day (no, it's NOT that kind of overnight!) said “I have such a weakness for broken men. And it’s a legitimate problem. Like, I shouldn’t be like this. I should want stable guys without any issues, but I can’t help myself. It’s a curse.”

Max doesn't seem to draw that kind of happiness to his life, unless it's temporary, and part of me is still hoping that somewhere in the rest of Ebbing Tides that pretty redhead will find her way back to Max's life because I think they deserve each other, but I'm not sure what all Kelsey Kingsley has planned for Max and us.

Like everything else Kelsey writes, Crashing Waves has dragged me in and made me so damn sad until I know the very end, but it's an amazing story getting there. I am so proud of Max and all he accomplished as a young person, and in the Army. He had a lot to be proud of, even later during his time with Laura, he had a good job, and house for his family. He never gave up even during the time that his brain was at war with him, and that's so hard sometimes, not to just give up and walk away, but he never did.

I need the other part of this duology RIGHT NOW, a month feels like FOREVER!! I will not forget Crashing Waves, Max is an AMAZING man with a kind heart who deserves better than the hand he was dealt.
