🔮🧚♂️🧝♂️ Amazing First Fantasy with Enemies to Lovers, Slow Burn, and all the Magick you'll Ever Need!!🧝♂️🧚♂️🔮
Y'all, I don't have adequate words for Quicksilver, but I'm going to try!
If you like Morally Dark, leaning toward Morally Black MMC's that are Fae Shadow Daddies with a grouchy attitude, who can do ANYTHING with their magic but are reluctant to use it, King Fisher is THE guy for you.
King Fisher feels bad about what he's been ordered to do, where he's been for the last year and a half, and his orders to hunt down Saeris Fane the only known alchemist in Human Ward #3. But when he finds her, holy gods he knows exactly who she is and what she can do to save his people.
Saeris Fane has been living in the third ward her whole life and she's a very good thief. In fact, the day King Fisher comes hunting her down she's in the middle of stealing a gauntlet from one of the Queens Guards. Knowing the guard, Harron, is going to kill her she grabs a sword forcing him to reach for it unprotected and since it's NOT his God Sword the results are disastrous. King Fisher then pulls Saeris through a giant pool of Quick Silver to get back to his world, and suddenly things in Yvelia get VERY interesting.
There are faeries of all different types, fire sprites, Saeris makes friends with a fox, and she has to try to figure out why everyone believes King Fisher is a hero (EXCEPT Fisher.)
Y'all this kind of fantasy, I really didn't even need the spicy scenes, even though there are certain ones - with the runes, that are beyond beautiful!! The fantasy though is what this book is built on, and the emotion, and it is AMAZING!! I've never been so intrigued by Fantasy before in my reading. Kingfisher and Saeris, and their entire found family have captured my heart in this book.
I loved the twist at 93%, and normally that would just irritate me, but not here, there was enough left to feel like the book ends in a good place, it doesn't feel like a cliffhanger so I was thrilled.
If you like Fantasy with a heavy dose of spice, who hurt you, morally dark characters, and worlds that can change in the blink of an eye than Quick Silver is definitely the next book for you!! Just remember, nothing is as it seems. 😉
