🌲A Wonderful  Suspenseful Mystery with a side of Sugar Cookie Romance!!🌲

   Garret and Harper in Claire Kingsley's Temptation Trails captured my heart AND my mind from the very first chapter, and did not let go! 

I was enthralled by the suspense, Garrett starts out the very beginning chasing down a reported car thief after finding an abandoned car on a trail, and then finding something much more important. It seems very straightforward, but nothing this good ever is and the closer he gets the more gets his wings clipped by his Chief for supposed "shoddy" work, missing details, prints where they shouldn't be, etc.

When Garrett and Harper finally get to meet, Garrett is over the moon while Harper is just worried that her bad luck will continue and force another man away from her. I ADORE Harper. The hilarity of a woman who curses only using the words "sugar cookies" is outrageous, but she's so sweet, and I love her mad baking skills (I would love some of those recipes!!) She's absolutely an adult when dealing with her sister, and her mother, even though you can tell how much their negative behavior hurts her each time. 

Harper has moved to Tilikum to help her Aunt Doris with her bakery, and a series of things follow her that she attributes to her 'bad luck.' I loved her choice for how to deal with Owen (Garrett's son), and how quickly their relationship builds up! 

The side characters are an absolute blast, Marigold and Audrey lending their kindness and automatic friendship is for sure whe Harper needs in a new town all by herself, having to make decisions on her own. And of course the rest of the Haven Brothers are always there to give advice to Garrett, and to help him out in the end when things get really dicey. 

The suspense and Romance in Temptation Trails were enough to keep me awake until midnight last night, absolutely on the edge of my seat and I loved everything about the ending of this book. A wonderful five star Romantic Suspense, I can't WAIT  to see what Claire Kingsley has coming next!!
