Milly and Dean have definitely stolen one of the top five spots in 2023, and my heart right along with it!

Dylan Allen's style of writing in Still The One is sublime, beyond beautiful, and as it should be in some places raging with righteous anger. 

"LOVE IS A HELL OF A DRUG. The rush puts you in a chokehold but the high feels so good you never want to be free of it. Until you notice you can’t take deep breaths anymore."

Dean and Milly's love story was destroyed when they were teens because of one person's anger and jealousy, and even as they come back together as adults this one person continues to try to pull them apart. 

Milly is one of the strongest characters I've read in the last few years, and I adore her for speaking up to her husband the way she did when it was finally all over. Not only that, but her response (not reaction) to Nicole (it's hilarious that she continues to use the wrong name when referring to her after everything that woman did to Dean) and Dean's mother is strength made of marble!!

Dean is just perfection! His strength in finding out what actually happened with his and Milly's fathers, his strength in confronting Kevin (Milly's ex), Nicola, and his own mother just bowled me over! Don't we all wish we had someone like that willing to do whatever they had to to protect us!! 

I absolutely love Dylan Allen's words, her strength, her wonderful ability to put a story together over several large cities, and even continents, the beauty of it is just delicious!!
