🏈 Steamy, Sweet Single Dad/Nanny Romance!!🏈

   Wes has been through the ringer with his ex-wife! He gets home from announcing his retirement to find her leaving him AND his children without even a goodbye. Apparently not being a football player anymore isn't good enough for her, and hasn't been for a while.

Wes does everything he can to keep his little family together, and stable, making sure Magnolia's hair is done right, and everyone's homework is done, but he's struggling. When he takes the kids back to his hometown of Rolling Hills for Halloween the first person the kids meet after visiting with their grandparents is Betsy (thanks to Magnolias friendly little self!)

Betsy is in Rolling Hills because she literally (for real this time) had no place else to go, so when her Best Friend Whitley offered her a job in her decorating business she took it. She's not really good at decorating, or it's just not what she wants to be doing, because every time she's failing miserably at some task, Wes's kids show up to play with her!

When Wes' mother asks her to watch them one afternoon she finally discovers what she's supposed to be doing, even though she's still scared to death she's going to do something wrong!! When Wes sees her with his kids he knows he's finally found their person, and after everything his ex-wife put them through that feels AWESOME! Now he just has to convince her to be his nanny.

I wanted to join Betsy in delivering the BEST Southern put down to Cara when she insults Wes' daughter Emerson, and even goes so far as calling Betsy "fat." Her suggesting that Wes is only trying to get with her so he has a built in babysitter made me so angry I could spit, and I was THRILLED that Betsy didn't allow herself to be lowered to that level.

There is a section when Wes "assumes" again what is 'BEST' for Betsy, and I was so hurt for her and angry that he could not just sit down and talk it out, I wanted to throw my phone through the window, but thankfully Chelle Sloan doesn't make us suffer too long and his little Cadre of friends are in on the making up part!! 

I adore Wes' friends Shane, Simon, Oliver, and Amelia!! His whole family, and Betsy's friend Whitley are the best kind of found family, and I would love, LOVE to hear more about them in future books!!
