Donovan, Maeve, and Triss were so much fun!!

When the girls take Donovan in and call Huck or as Triss calls him "Mr. President, Man" they spend the next while hiding what Maeve has been doing from all the guys because as Maeve finds out, it's hard to not fall in love with ALL the Golden Glades Henchmen - especially the new guys!

Triss is a RIOT (throwing gnomes at darkly tinted cars that have been hitting people?🧙‍♂️), although I'm sure if anyone had to spend any long term time with her - except maybe Aleric (hint, hint, I think they would make an EXCELLENT pairing!) they might actually sit her on the couch and tape her mouth shut, she just really never stops talking.

Donovan and Maeve's almost "insta-lust or inta-love" was very sweet especially the way she took care of his wounds, and would have been very surprising given that most Henchmen relationships have some level of enemy to love aspect, except that it was very obvious that Maeve was feeling extreme guilt for keeping "the site" from him and the rest of the guys. 

Natalya's pursuit of Donovan being singularly sloppy, while remaining single-mindedly focused on Donovan when there were so many other suspects to go after regarding the death of her mentor almost made me giggly. Maeve looking for weapons while Natalya keeps giving her a much needed therapy session was just almost funny. I could literally picture her in my mind pouting when Donovan finally made it across the crocodile infested swamp (is it just one crocodile named Carl, and where did the rest of them go?😉😂)

DONOVAN was a comedy of errors combined with some really hot smexy times, Eddie's super yummy food, and Artie's above average hacking skills, it was the break in seriousness from other books I absolutely needed and went swoony over. The Golden Glades Henchmen really are THAT hot, even when they're not taking life all that seriously. 

Five out of five stars for always being what I want at just the right moment, Jessica Gadziala's writing never fails to hit just what I need!
