☆☆☆ A Fabulous End to The Investigators Series!!☆☆☆
Jessica Gadziala's 432 HOURS is off the charts amazing!! I absolutely adored Brock and Miranda!
Brock's sensitivity toward Miranda at first appears to be related to his typical woman crazy behavior, but it quickly becomes clear that he is relating to her on a whole different level.
Miranda has been attacked and then rushed to the hospital, but her wounds look like a pretty specific type of wound and result in her needing some special help, and the only people her assistant Cam can find to deliver that kind of help is Sawyer and his Investigators.
Brock is attracted to Miranda from moment one, but in a new and different way than all those other girls. He really wants to protect her, and not just as an aspect of her job, but as someone important in his life. He's so sweet on her - it's just adorable, to see him rushing out to meet the danger that keeps coming for her, I just wanted to hug him!
Y'all, the suspense in this novel is almost overwhelming from page one. I had no idea who the bad guy was, and when I thought I did, I'd turn the page and my head would be turned as Jessica amped up the suspense level again. There is no doubt in my mind this antagonist was absolutely perfect, she could have kept building him, but by the time she introduced him, he was villainous enough to eventually turn into a serial killer if not stopped.
There are not a whole lot of side characters, but that's because her assistant Cam has enough personality to fill all Miranda needs for side characters, and he is the perfect man for the job!! He took such good care of her, and even took care of Brock when he found out things Brock needed. Cam was everywhere, doing a little bit of everything, I absolutely adore him and I love, LOVE his and Miranda's relationship together. It was more brother and sister than Supervisor and employee.
The epilogue is off the charts for an end of a series, the focus is still entirely on Brock and Miranda, but it included Bellamy to add some levity! 5 out of five stars for an amazingly suspenseful book with a sweet protective romance aspect. I love this series so much, if you haven't read it yet, grab the whole thing NOW!
