🎸♥️Sweet, Angsty, & Spicy, and I Loved Every Word!!♥️🎸

Kelsey Kingsley's The Girl In The Front Row is one of the best books I've read this year!!

I absolutely loved Lennon and Dylan, their relationship from the very beginning was fiery, loving, and like a good book - something I wanted to snuggle in deep with.

Dylan, the lead singer of the Angels Of The Silences, is struggling. When he meets Lennon he's sure he has his muse back, and sure enough the music starts coming back, but is that all he's using her for? Is he really in love with her, and if he is, why can't he allow himself to contact her more?

Lennon has been in love with Dylan more than half her life, but even after she meets him, and spends time with him, she knows that theirs is not a relationship that would work. It would never be normal, look normal, have the white picket fence, and 2.5 kids so she tries to find her normal with Peter (Peter is so awful he deserves an award for the most awful boyfriend of the year y'all!😤)

Even when this isn't working to make Lennon happy, and Connor mentions writing a book, Lennon balks. What if it fails? What if she's awful at it? But, as her brother Connor suggests, time is going to keep on going, and at least she'll have been doing something. I adored Connor, even when he was a jerk to Tarryn - he's still coming around, maybe there's something there?!?

At every point where either Lennon or Dylan would stop with their relationship, or fizzle with their newfound enthusiasm, the other was right there to pick them back up - even if they had to shout a little to make their point heard, and I loved that they never really gave up.

The side characters in The Girl In The Front Row are magnificent! Her best friend Tarryn always keeps her close, and keeps coming back home, no matter how big her star rises. Dylan's bandmates, and his parents are AMAZING!! When his Mama offered to send Lennon home with apple crumble, and his Dad was talking to her about Bob Dylan and John Lennon, I almost cried at their kindness.

Kelsey Kingsley's ability to write the climax, and story arc in such a way that I simultaneously wanted to throw my kindle across the room, and hug it to me so I didn't miss the next page are the reasons I keep coming back to her books, and this one may be the best by far! Five out of five stars for a book that I'd give fifteen if I could!! Lennon and Dylan will hold onto my heart for a while!
