☆☆☆One Of Anne Malcom's Best!!☆☆☆

   I've learned to look forward to Anne Malcom's books with all the glee of a child waiting for their present from Santa every year. Her writing is that good - the courage, power and fortitude with which she leans into topics that are often still taboo, heartbreaking, and mind opening will surround you, and even in the middle of a really frickin HOT Romance make you think and answer the really hard questions you might not have thought of yet.

Wilting Violets is no different, Violet and Elden are drawn together in a world of violence, at a time when Violet is questioning every decision she makes but one, hiding every emotion and decision from her family - determined not to make Kate feel any more guilt than she's felt over her life time.

Elden is determined to stay away from the strong, feminist, young woman - sure that he would just be one more thing to screw up her young life. But he didn't prepare for the magnetism that pulls them together every time they're in the same area. What he does know is that he's certain he's betraying Swiss, and his brotherhood - and that's just one more thing that makes him unworthy of Violet, he's just not sure he cares anymore. 

The side characters remind me every time why I love Sons of Templar so much, their absolute willingness to die to protect their own, their humor, their down and dirty desire to get one back on the local Sheriff who's decided he needs to make his bones by putting them down for good. 

Sariah is so very strong, smart, and wiley she reminds me of a young Rosie, and I may or may not have slid into someone's DM's very late threatening to hold a grudge if something happened to her. Colby reminds of a sweeter, kinder version of Lucky until pain strips that sweetness away, and yet I could see him maintaining it, we'll just have to wait and see. This series is just as special to me, if not more so, as Sons Of Templar Amber maybe because of all they've been through - maybe because it's just a little darker and the growth of Ms. Malcom's writing is stamped on each page. Whatever it is, I'm HERE FOR IT, and I'm ready for more!!

Wilting Violets is worth a hefty five out of five stars, and I'd definitely give it more if I could!!
