♡♡♡Tom & Mika are the love of a lifetime!!♡♡♡

"By the way, Mom, those pedestals come in one size and the top is only a couple of inches wide . No matter how hard they try, no one can stay balanced up there. Everyone forced on one falls off.”

Making The Match is a really good return to Kristen Ashley's River Rain series! I loved Tom and Mika and Tom's timeless friendship, and the way it grew in to more.

Mika's strength and ability to be her own person even through death, heartbreak, defeat, and people just being downright ugly is awe inspiring. Her words so many times are so filled with wisdom that one could take into the real world, but she has her moments like all of us when she's human and fails, mostly herself - but sometimes those around her and her words can be bitter and sting. Amazingly sexy, even at my age, Mika is someone I think everyone could fall in love with. She doesn't let the outside world touch her, which can be both a help and a hindrance.

Tom Pierce is THAT kind of man. The one that takes responsibility for his behavior, and his mistakes, he owns up when he makes one of the biggest mistakes of his life. When it finally leads him back to Mika - thank you Chloe for interfering AGAIN, he can't allow himself the joy of fully being with her because of that singular screw up. Will Tom keep himself from having a real and lasting love for the rest of his life?

The Pierce and Holloway family's are wonderful to watch interact with each other, even though Genny's drama seriously made me want to pull her hair out at times. It is indeed "the Genny show" and she has forced so many of them to play, it seems cruel and unfair when she plays it again here.

Mika's PA, Teddy needs some counseling rather than excuses from Mika, but I remind myself again that it is fiction, and even though it is not at all how I would have dealt with it he does seem sweet later on. I love the side characters, all the different kids and kittens make the book a truly enjoyable experience, along with the Romantic Suspense, the book was overall really enjoyable!

There are two instances that while it being far too late to remove them from the book, I believe screening in the future by a sensitivity reader would be helpful. They are not necessarily offensive as such, just issues I believe could have been addressed better.

Overall I give the book 4 out of 5 stars, I enjoyed coming back to Ms. Ashley's writing, and I don't think one needs to be caught up with the entire River Rain Series to jump right into Making The Match!
