☆☆☆Delectably Sweet & Spicy!!☆☆☆

 I have had this book on my kindle for almost a month now, not reading it yet, because I knew when I did I would be unable to savor it properly as I should, but instead would be up for hours deep into the night finishing it in one giant bite!!

Lisa's writing is stunning, the character development absolutely gorgeous, the side characters ~ getting to spend time with the leonine Kingston? *SWOON* I feel a need to re-read the entire Wallflowers series after this!

Keir MacRae is the perfect Scot: bristly at first glance, but underneath all that gruff exterior he is extolling about the characteristics of Lady  Merritt Sterling nee Marsden (Weston and Lillian from the Wallflowers series daughter.) He is smitten almost from the very beginning, but of course he can't let her know that, she's so far above him in station after all! And of course the antics just get wilder from here!!

Lady Merritt Sterling is an unconventional lady, a businesswoman, she's been running her family's portside docks for the last several years, until Luke became old enough to take over. Widowed a few years before, she privately blames herself for her husband's death, and is tired of being shoehorned into this one and only way she is allowed to be according to the rules of society. 

Reading as Merritt and MacRae fell together was like a delicious cake, so many layers, and flavors - from tart to sweet, and back again!! I was crying at different points as both of them tried to be "honorable" and break off the relationship, but SO relieved when MacRae finally remembered where he should be! There are so many different pieces to this book, I loved seeing Ethan and Dr. Gibson, Weston and Lillian, and of course the delicious Kingston and Evie. I adore how Ms. Kleypas is able to layer them all back together, and keep it new and refreshing at the same time!

I'm incredibly hopeful from the epilogue, and the closing convo between Weston and Kingston,  that this is only the beginning of the he journey between the Ravenels and the Wallflowers. 10 delectable stars for this spicy, sweet historical romance, I can't WAIT for the next one!!
