My first book by Michelle Heard will certainly not be my last!! I love the back and forth between Carson and Hailey, the protective instinct of Alexei over Hailey (even when it makes Carson unhappy) and later MJ as well. 

Hailey is an American traveling through Switzerland, when she meets Carson in the bar she's working in. Hailey is independent , sweet young woman, entirely unprepared for the immediate force of the feelings she has for Carson. Drawn to her reclusive neighbor time after time, she shows up at his house, and cannot figure out why he is so flat some days, and other days seems haunted by her appearance.

Carson falls for Hailey just as hard, and then spends the next five weeks trying to nudge her away from him. Even though his feelings are more intense than any he's ever known, he doesn't want her involved in his life. How does an assassin explain his line of work without driving the object of his obsession in the opposite direction?

Michelle Heards ability to showcase Carson and Hailey's instant attraction in the middle of some incredibly dangerous footing, all the while building on their lust and love for each other kept me enthralled! 

The tension and danger surrounding these two is mind boggling, and the side characters - especially Alexei and MJ, made me want more and more long after the book was finished.
