An amazingly beautiful, precise new novel by Lisa Kleypas, we meet up with Tom Severin again and learn more about Cassandra.

The way Ms. Kleypas writes Toms character, and his issues with having more than 5 emotions, photographic memory, and just his overwhelming need for everything in his life to be kept in their own boxes, made me wonder if he had high functioning autism or Aspergers.

Cassandra is a joyful character who is suddenly aware that she's been lonely for a long time. Her approach to The Season in London shows only one man that wants her attention, and when she refuses him, he and his father set out to shame her and destroy any prospects she might have had for a happy future.

When Tom shows her a way out, and the details he'll use to fix this situation for Cassandra. Otherwise he might have to go to Marquis of Ripon's house and beat him to death with his own arms.

As Cassandra and Tom begin falling for each other, she can see the pain of his childhood is holding him back from being with Cassandra fully, but she might find the path to his frozen heart if she tries hard enough.

A 5⭐ gem from Ms. Kleypas, I can't wait to see what she gives us next!
