♡♡♡Freya Barker's Sexy Introverts Finally Connect!♡♡♡

   Freya Barker's High Mountain Trackers Series gets better and better with each book! High Ground starts off with a bang, and never stops moving from there.

Sully and Pippa are not a couple that would seem to work in any sense of the word. Both of them like their privacy in the extreme, neither one like any one in their business, and both of them seem to lack the ability to trust more than the the few people they've allowed into their close circle.

I loved the push and pull of the beginning of their relationship at the start of High Ground, although once they get going things move really fast. Sully really wants to get back together with Pippa after their hurried time together at New Years, but Pippa is resentful of the fact that he never called or asked after her until she was in trouble again and decided to give him a taste of his own medicine.

The suspense is shocking to the point I was so surprised I had to put the book down and walk away for a moment at the very beginning, but it is amazing how quickly the feds think Pippa is somehow involved. Sloane, Sully's niece, doesn't help (even though she thinks she is) by hijacking one of the HMT computers and hacking through another suspects information. All of this made my heart beat faster and faster with worry for both Pippa and Sully, especially when Pippa is mishandled again by the FBI.

Freya's writes with flair and passion, working both characters up to genuine love with each other so quickly, I was worried something horrible would happen to one or the other toward the end but the ending is spectacular and the epilogue is out of this world!!
