☆☆☆A Biker of A Different Flavor!☆☆☆
Well, Judge is a character of a different attitude there for a little bit!! I was all set up to absolutely despise him when he finally got his head out of his a**, and learned what was most important!
It's been a LONG time reading one of Jessica Gadziala's books that a prospect has actually been TREATED like a prospect, forced to clean, wash bikes, basically stand around and realize he is the lowest man in the hierarchy, and to just lean into it. I think Judge thought he was going to be welcomed with open arms, and an easy way.
Dell is a sweet, somewhat (in my opinion) naive character at first. She seemed to think some guy getting out of prison was going to treat her with roses, and then she seemed doubly shocked when her brothers took care of business by ensuring Judge knew he wasn't allowed anywhere near hear again.
The suspense when no one could figure out who was hurting Dell, was out of this world, and I'll admit I was a little bent when the Murphy brothers all decided for themselves exactly who it was without talking to Dell or Nix.
I love the side Characters, especially the Murphy brothers (who remind me of the Mallicks) and the Shady Valley Henchmen, especially Slash who seems a little distant and sad, and Crow who seems kind of funny and bloody, in the same flavor as Brio or Pagan. I have a feeling they're going to be as much fun as the OG Henchmen!! The spice was perfection, especially the alley scene - a little creepy, a lot HOT, just YUM!!
The epilogue was beautiful, JG always makes them amazing, and leaves me wanting so much more!!
