♡♡♡5 ⭐'s For This Grumpy Cinnamon  roll!♡♡♡

 

  Grady & Maya are SMOKIN HOT and so dang funny they make Paths one of the best in Brynne Asher's Killers!

 Just when I thought I'd read them all, I ran across PATHS, and discovered a new to me Brynne Asher book! Now, if you haven't had the joy of reading her you're already missing out, but if you have then you know finding an unread book is a little like finding the holy grail. Or, a new pair of black jeans on sale in the perfect size, it's just the best kind of day. 😉

Maya is pretty, and wicked smart, and doing her damndest to hide it all by working as a waitress and an activities helper at a senior living center when she should be working as a physical therapist. So when she sees Grady dragging his grumpy self into Whitetail every day ordering the same thing for lunch she starts stalking him (just a little.)

Grady has just barely avoided being killed, and he'd like to just live off the most unhealthy food possible, with some sweets thrown in, if you please! So when the waitress at Whitetail keeps trying to shove veggies at him of course he has to figure out who she is, AND start watching her on her nightly run on the security feeds.

When things start going downhill, and Maya is just forced to kiss him in front of her creepy ex-fiance, then my favorite grumpy cinnamon roll has to start following her everywhere, and staying the night in her tiny little house!! Grady is bound and determined to do whatever he has to to make Maya his, and Maya is going to need saving more than once!

On the way there is a hilarious roster of oldies they have fun with at the senior living center, we get introduced to the insanity that are all of Grady's sisters (including Gracie!!), and Elijah Pettit who is masquerading as a bad guy, but is really, really not.

It is all kinds of fun reading a book out of order, seeing the foreshadowing where new characters come in, and knowing where they're going now, especially when I love them so much!! 

5 stars for brilliant writing, amazing suspense, humor that had me laughing out loud - apparently cows do like to snuggle, and some SERIOUS HEAT!!
