☆☆☆Freya Barker's High Meadow is a True Gem!☆☆☆

  High Meadow's combination of Romance and suspense gift Freya Barker with a 5 star Homerun!!

I am absolutely in love with Alexandra! This Heroine is a little peppery, a little snarky, a lot loving when push comes to shove and willing to work hard to get what she wants, whether it's with her rescue or with Jonas. 

Jonas is really not your typical alpha Hero. He tries to be, maybe in the first chapter? But once he meets Alex, and sees what she can do with his horses, and sees how standoffish she can be, he makes it his mission to push as softly as he can until they both get what they want.

In my opinion, the suspense is really what makes this book the gem that it is! The men constantly hunting for these terrorists so close to Alex's land, trying so hard to work with arrogant members of the FBI and DHS, and getting nowhere. 

Once I got past the 30% mark I literally couldn't put the book down, I was so excited and afraid I'd miss something! There are so many pieces where Ms. Barker is including foreshadowing with the side characters, and what we'll hopefully see in future books with Lucy, Bo, Jackson, and more.

 She left a lot on the table to be excited about the upcoming books in the series, I am incredibly excited about High Stakes coming up next, and have made sure every book in the series has been added to my TBR, and you should too! 

A 5 star homerun right out of the gate for High Meadow, a beautiful start to this first book in Freya Barker's new series!!
