♡♡♡The Best of Lucy Score Yet!♡♡♡

  Things We Never Got Over might just be Lucy Score's best work yet! The book hangover is real y'all, so many emotions...  heartbreak and bravery, laughter and triumph, this book just rolled right over me.

Knox is a true grump, locked in a world of grief and anger, some of his own making, he thinks he's doing the world a favor keeping them all at arms length. So much of the laughter and strength comes from Knox, I laughed until I cried when he showed up with supplies for the women at the Honky Tonk during a Code Red. 

Naomi, sweetNaomi, she's doing the best she can not to be a "disappointment" to anyone around her, not realizing she's failing herself over and over again. I loved her relationship with Waylay, the strength she brought to a child that has never had anyone back her up brought me to tears. 

The side characters, Nash and Lucian, Sloan and Lina, all the women at the Honky Tonk, all of Naomi's family, and all of those at the barbershop, they were so much fun, so kind and funny and willing to do anything to stand up for each other.

Lucy Score always brings the funniest, kindest, steamy books, but underneath there are always such beautiful, strong words and stories to tell and feel. Are you living your life in a way that you will be happiest? "You're allowed to have needs. You're allowed to have wants. You're allowed to make mistakes."
