Cassandra Robbins has SLAYED with Axel and his pretty ballerina!!

Out of all the Disciples heroines, Axel's ballerina is my favourite! I love the descriptions used every time she's afraid, or angry, instead of withdrawing inside herself and hiding, her spine snaps straight and her chin goes up and out. She's complained about as being snobby, or stand-offish, but no one really sees the little girl inside still afraid of letting anyone lose for fear of having them yanked away again. Her beauty is incomparable, but I don't think beyond the initial introduction, that's what keeps Axel coming back. It's the spark, his ballerina's fire, that even when she doesn't know what's coming next, she ALWAYS gives as good as she gets.

Axel is not just a Disciple, he's the Vice President. He's acted like an a$$hole every time his brothers have found their Old Ladies, almost seeing it as a weakness for his brothers to fall, not seeing it for what it is, an imperceptible strength brought by women who shore up their men in ways no one thought possible. Seeing Eve, Charlie, and Dolly so happy to see this tiny, slip of a girl immediately made me giggle, that they knew what was coming for Axel before he did.

Not that there's not blood, danger, excitement and action from the very first page, but the softness I did not expect in this book, has made it my favourite among the Disciples.

Axel is dangerous, he IS absolutely Dominant when it comes to his girl, but her steel wrapped in softness in acquiescing to his desires, Axel's softness in almost every interaction, even if he starts out angry and rough, was what sent Ignite over the top for me.

5 STUNNING stars for Cassandra Robbins Ignite, I hope this is not the last we will see of her Disciples!
