5 WICKED SMART STARs for Starsky and Hutch!
One thing I love almost as much I love as much as Cops and Emts/Firefighters are HACKERS, and Kimberly Kincaid writes the heck out of Capelli's character!! I was infuriated for him about things in his past that worked against his ability build true partnerships in the Intelligence Unit, but loved the way everyone works to try and show him they are there for him anyway.
Shae is one of my favourite characters in Station Seventeen, and the meaning of her name is ABSOLUTELY perfect for her!! Her go get it attitude combined with her sassy never say die personality is a ton of fun, especially when she's mouthing at Hawk or Gamble.
The opening scene in Deep Burn is one no firefighter or emt is bound to forget, and Shae's refusal of Brides order to stand down is typical, understandable, and very ill advised.
When Capelli is ordered to the same scene later in the morning he could never have imagined he was going to have to deal with the rash, impulsive, fly-by-the-seat of her pants, not to mention D@MN SEXY, Shae McCullough but there she was running her mouth even though it was obvious she was in trouble.
Later that week when Shae and Capelli are ordered to work together Shae finds what she knew she saw at the first scene in an even older scene, and takes her finds to Capelli after Arson shuts her down. What follows is Capelli being an absolute moron on more than one occasion until someone from Capelli's past conspires to make Shae very uncomfortable. Suddenly it's no longer an arson, but maybe murder, arson, revenge, and?
This book is absolutely BRILLIANT, high-speed, with more twists and turns than your normal neural pathway, and incredibly darkly sexy!! I think Kincaid needs to spend some time writing some more in this direction because I am in LOVE!!
