Kacey Shea shines a bright light on the world of single parenting, all of its heartbreak, and love, fears and joys!

I am absolutely in LOVE with Isaac, lord save me from kindhearted Mexican-American Daddy's in love with their kids. He is just the best thing ever, and Kacey's representation of his struggle to be everything to his child, all while battling exhaustion, working too much, and fighting to make it through school is gut wrenching.

There were a few times I was overcome with really hard tears, reading his emotional pain as Isaac worried about all the things he was getting wrong. Seeing his pride, and that overwhelming sense of failure is so hard, but he is such a beautiful, sweet man in spite of all of it.

Cora is truly almost like Glenda the Good, if she's been hurt one too many times abut built a low wall that she keeps tripping over. A brilliant, fierce soul with a heart of gold, I was worried she wouldn't get out of her own way to make this truly special story work, but Kacey Shea won't steer you wrong. Settle in for a sweet, steamy 5 star gem!
