Power Term is absolutely INSPIRED!! Sliding straight into my top five for 2020, Kennedy Mitchell kept me on my toes for mor than half the book, and hit a grand slam with the ending!!
Power Term is the 5th and final book in the Power Play series, so if you haven't read the other four you need to start at the beginning.
Randi has been abducted and her captor has spent more time plotting this than anyone could have imagined, and as Trey and Tank tear Washington apart looking for her, her captor is going to make her life a living hell. He just keeps underestimating her at every single turn.
One of the reasons Kennedy Mitchell is one of my favourite writers is the absolute grit and determination she sinks into every female character she writes, and Randi is no different. Whip smart, beautifully sarcastic, and wickedly funny -- with an odd obsession for unicorns, there is absolutely no way Randi will give her captor what he wants, she just has to hold out long enough for Trey to find her.
Trey, Tank, and their odd new sidekick are close to finding the President withing only an hour of her being taken, but an hour is an awfully long time when the leader of a country is missing. And no one knows why her captors have this obsession with her, or do they want something else? Trey isn't sure yet, but he knows when he finds her he is going to kill them all. He just could never have imagined all the lengths these people would go to just to play their sick game.
I love Randi and Trey together, all their odd little idiosyncrasies, their ability to forget everyone else in a room but each other, and their nicknames for each other. They are one of my favourite couples this year, absolutely meant for each other!
Kennedy Mitchell has slayed it with this series, and knocked it out of the park with Power Term! If you love romantic suspense and political intrigue then Power Play is the series for you, and Ms. Mitchell is the author to tell you the story.
