Kacey Shea blew me away with Jude and Rachel's chemistry!!
Jude and Rachel are AMAZING from the beginning! Jude is a really sweet guy, but he has some serious trauma in his past that keeps him scared of ever making a commitment. Rachel is a wonderful character, strong, independent, and decisive. She's also beaten down by the history with her ex, and roommates that are not only hateful, spiteful creatures but self-obsessed mean girls who think it's acceptable to steal from her as well.
Jude knows that Rachel is special, but he's going about getting her attention in the worst way possible. Rachel is definitely attracted to Jude, but she promised herself after the last selfish a$$hole she would NOT allow herself to take these chances again.
What ensues is a wonderful push and pull between two people already at least half in love with each other, they just fail in every way with communication.
Dirty Dealer is a delicious slow burn with two amazing souls who fight a lot harder than they needed to before finally getting together. Kacey Shea is the only writer I know that can shock me with the first kiss, and then move right along like she didn't just make me AND her heroine REALLY need to see what else Jude is hiding!! 5 delicious stars for this fast paced read!!
